Always staying true to herself and her to her thang, Erykah Badu encourages others to do the same. Be it musically or by pulling the looks that she does, she is a constant source of inspiration for me and many others.

While living in San Francisco I had the privilege of getting to know the remarkable and inspiring Glama More. Always the epitome of bravery and classic glamour, Glama is how it's done. If you ever want to see how to do things the right way - look no further.

My mother always said...
March to your own drum. It started when I got my first room. The walls quickly became covered in photos, posters, paint and pretty much anything else that could be glued, nailed or tacked down. What emerged as the images changed and were added on to became a map, a collected constellation of styles and aesthetic points of view. Now, I extend the walls of that room to this blog, Navy Black Brown - sharing all that I have found to help, as Erykah Badu put it, find "yo Ism".
Enjoy.
Enjoy.
